🚀 Problem: Language models struggle with rapidly evolving info and context in fields like medicine & finance. We need ways to post-train LLMs to control how they absorb new knowledge. 🔍 Insight: Why not explain, and teach, LLMs how to learn? Younwoo (Ethan) Choi will be at #ICLR2025

And indeed I worry that something much bigger will be lost when most people stop writing. It's not that big a loss if you don't weave your own cloth. But writing is thinking. So if people stop writing, that's a whole kind of thinking they'll stop doing.

📣 Proud to share HealthBench, an open-source benchmark from our Health AI team at OpenAI, measuring LLM performance and safety across 5000 realistic health conversations. 🧵 Unlike previous narrow benchmarks, HealthBench enables meaningful open-ended evaluation through 48,562

1/10 🧵 🔍Can weight symmetry provide insights into sparse training and the Lottery Ticket Hypothesis? 🧐We dive deep into this question in our latest paper, "Sparse Training from Random Initialization: Aligning Lottery Ticket Masks using Weight Symmetry", accepted at #ICML2025

If you're at #CHIL2025 , check out Jerry Ji's paper on new ways to leverage clinical knowledge (as privileged information) with decision making algorithms. He shows its crucial to reliable tools to order tests in the ICU. Joint work with Anna Goldenberg and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre!

Would love help identifying amazing ML researchers with strong connections to Canada who are currently outside Canada (thus potentially targets for recruitment as US situation deteriorates). DMs please. Retweet please.
