Using integrated and community-led solutions, supported innovator Rainmaker Enterprise, in collaboration with WFP South Sudan and WFP Innovation enable remote communities to meet food & water needs locally, reducing migration, & the impacts of the #ClimateCrisis.💦🌾


One shining example is Rainmaker Enterprise, a community-driven innovation that is tackling water insecurity in South Sudan via solar-powered pumps and irrigation systems that bring water for household and agriculture use to areas impacted by conflict, droughts, and flooding.

Today, Global Centre for Climate Mobility is showcasing the outstanding work of Africa Climate Mobility Initiative fellows Careen Mwakitalu and James Thuch Madhier; African youth-led innovation on #ClimateMobility. The incredible delegation from #Tuvalu are opening, followed by inspiring remarks from Wanjira Mathai and Omnia El Omrani.


James Thuch Madhier from South Sudan is the founder of Rainmaker Enterprise. Rainmaker Enterprise develop integrated community-driven water solutions, including solar-powered pumps and irrigation systems for remote communities. "We do not have a resources deficit. We have an empathy deficit."
