Immigration-restrictionists do need to be honest about the costly nature of a comprehensive skills & training strategy for UK citizens (as well as improving pay in sectors such as health & social care). But I suspect many British taxpayers would support such causes.

There is also scope for a high-tax, large-spend party that is focused on reducing the UK's immigration dependency and bringing strategic national assets under public ownership. The future of Reform UK is not reheated Thatcherite dross. It is right-wing social democracy.
