Just returned home from watching one of my third grade scholars perform at Holiday on the Hill and I’m still smiling. It was such a pleasure to see her outside of school doing something she’s passionate about. Definitely one of my favorite teacher perks. 💕#LRENoFinishLine

This group of Lower Elementary scholars went on a ramble to collect specimens that related to what they were learning about in their Botany lessons. They then came together to share what they found.

Feliz Dia de los Muertos! Our class has spent the last three weeks learning about and creating our own classroom ofrenda. Today we shared our remembrances of our departed loved ones. I had the opportunity to share a happy memory of my own mother who passed unexpectedly in May. 💕

These two third graders will be participating in their first campus spelling bee in two weeks, and they decided to set up a study session together to find new ways to practice. I am loving the enthusiasm and initiative! #LRENoFinishLine

So proud of all the scholars who competed in the spelling bee today, but especially my own 3rd graders. They worked so hard. 🐝

Thank you Dr Peterbark - Truman Middle School and Lake Ridge Elementary PTA for a wonderful Winter Wonderland 2022! I look forward each year to watching my scholars perform, and it was yet another great experience.

My boys joined me in cheering on one of my Lower El scholars at her acro-tumbling competition. It was so neat to see the amazing things she was able to do.

This third grader scholar is using the checkerboard to multiply a six digit multiplicand and a 4 digit multiplier. This concrete work is one that will lead to abstract multiplication.
