We need great music teachers, great role models and great empowerers. Music is a primal need, and music education is the right of every child. Department for Education, please think again. U-turns are acceptable.

Huge thanks BBC Songs of Praise BBC Radio 2 Kate Bottley for joining forces to showcase choristership. It’s life changing for so many children who love to sing eg Aled Jones Katherine Jenkins. Hopefully BBC Chorister of Year will inspire many more!

In case anyone who reads my tweets needs convincing of the powerful effect of music on all aspects of development, just look at this lot! musiceducationworks.wordpress.com/2020/06/17/17-… Please retweet like crazy, because there’s lots of, “they should get on with their real work“ nonsense going around.
