HISTORY IN MOTION 1964 saw the dissolution of Rhodesia & Nyasaland Federation. Southern Rhodesia became Rhodesia. Zambia (Northern Rhodesia) gained independence. Ian Smith started pursuing independence from Britain, setting the stage for the UDI in 1965.

HISTORY IN MOTION Until 1922, Zimbabwe was governed by the British South Africa Company (BSAP). Minority whites opted for self-govt. No blacks consulted. Blacks were not regarded as bona fide citizens but mere inconvenience to the heaven-like lives the whites began to enjoy.
