6th class had a great morning doing an orienteering course in Hazelwood organised by Youth Action Project and local community GardaĂ from An Garda SĂochána

4th and 5th classes are in Knocknarea Arena today for the end of year concert with Music Generation Sligo

It’s Finals day for our school mini league with “Roscommon” playing “Leitrim” at lunch time. Coolera-Strandhill GAA/LGFA & Camogie Sligo GAA C & G Sligo GAA


In a closely contested final of our mini league today, Leitrim emerged winners over Roscommon with a narrow one score win. It was an emotional morning as we said Goodbye to the present 6th class during the Leavers’ Assembly. With the hall full of parents and pupils, the pupils regaled us with poems, songs and memories from their 8 years in Ransboro NS We also had a slideshow of images.



Thanks again to Mammy Johnstons for coming to the school to share their delicious ice-cream with all of the pupils today.


Our Green School Committee were on hand today to unveil our 8th Green Flag which we were awarded by Green-Schools this year.
