The Green Party are supporting Catherine Connolly *because* we care about nature, and because we have always said that climate justice and social justice are inseparable.

In the wake of a damning EPA Report this week on water quality, I questioned the Taoiseach today on Lady's Island Lake. The local action group are seeking monthly tests to be carried out along with confirmed funding for actions that will support local farmers to reduce runoff.

Quick shout-out to Drimnagh local hero Ann Woodlock, who this week won another gold medal at the European Masters Athletics Championships. She's an inspiration to everyone who knows her.

Last night in Dublin City Council we started the process of zoning more land for housing. The crazy thing: bad national policy means that there is an artificial max limit on how much land we can zone for housing. If we tried to zone much more, we'd be legally prevented. Mad.

The council are organising lots of great events for Hallowe'en this year. Please support them, and not bonfires in our parks and greens.

Make a date of going to vote! Encourage your friends to vote and meet a mate for coffee near the polling station. We need to get as many people as possible out to vote this Friday. This Friday, vote for a strong voice, independent of Government. Vote #1 Catherine Connolly.
