Excited to finally share that I will be joining the Mustafa [email protected] and Gerd Blobel Labs for my BBCB Graduate Group thesis. Looking forward to study genomic architecture at the single molecule level!
.HudsonAlpha gave me my first glimpse of science as a career in 2017, so I was thrilled to be able to come back to celebrate 15 years of the Institute and to see old friends!
Time flies when you’re having fun! Hard to believe it’s been 10 years since I started my scientific career as a Biotrain intern at HudsonAlpha. Glad I could make it to Huntsville for the alumni reunion today and visit with my former Biotrain/Roberts lab colleague Raymond Carter
Congratulations to our SUIP summer student Kareena Shankta on an amazing poster today. This summer she learned single-molecule tracking & embryo injection to generate exciting data on chromatin mobility in development. Great mentorship by Apratim (Appy) &instruction by Raymond Carter
The Roberts Lab found a way to potentially turn back the clock on some cancer cells to offer a new treatment paradigm. Removing a 2nd protein from cancer cells already experiencing tumor suppressor loss may return those cells back to a more normal state. bit.ly/3ITapcT
Big congratulations to our labs 5 (!!) new PhD candidates, all of whom passed their qualifying exams over the last month. Very proud of Alexandria O. Adigun, Sena Sarıkaya, Raymond Carter, @_KyleFerguson_ & Manya Kapoor, each of whom have very distinct & creative thesis proposals.
Thrilled to be appointed to the UPenn Dept of Biochem & Biophys Structural Biology and Molecular Biophysics Training Grant! This funding will be invaluable for my research and career development.
Chromatin remodellers as therapeutic targets bit.ly/3S7moIL This review by Hayden Malone & Charles Roberts The Roberts Lab discusses progress in therapeutically targeting chromatin remodellers, with a focus on SWI/SNF complexes, which are often dysregulated in cancer
🚨 New Research Alert! 🚨 Excited to share our latest paper on PHF6's role in linking H3K14 acetylation, #SWISNF, and #RNApolymerase complexes. Now live in Nature Communications! 🎉 Big congrats to the first author, Dr. Priya Mittal, and all co-authors! 👏 nature.com/articles/s4146…
