Good morning and happy #SASweek23 Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. This week there are lots of local and national events celebrating SAS colleagues, including a "SAS takeover" of the all-staff webinar on Wednesday. Can't wait to highlight our potential!! @WFatid Lewisham Anaesthetic Department QEHanaesthesia LGTMedEd

Team LGT only won Trust of the year at the London HCSW awards and a second award too for LGT_HCSWs Data entry ..so heartwarming Louise crosby Enrico Pirozzoli Meera Nair Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust LGTclinicalacademy Phil Amanda Rolland Jo Peck Ann-marie Coiley π π

So fortunate to have Dr Shani Dhanda with us Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust sharing her expertise on #disabilities, tips on how to call out ableism and creating trust in the employer. My immediate actions - reflect on the language I use and how I call out ableism. Another step to making LGT great!

The SAS Collective A4: this is an organisational cultural issue. Iβve been lucky. My dept allocates an ES to *all* drs working under supervision. IMO this should be the rule rather than the exception. #SASsix

The SAS Collective #SASSix things that have helped us β¦ Passioaate advocacy, a deputy DME who is a SAS doctor, SAS Advocates and Tutors, and SAS in other leadership roles. And allies standing along side, stating the need for and benefit of. See earlier answers from panellists for the impact!

I know early career SAS that have been inspired to take on additional roles and external duties that they would never have taken. Their careers have become so much more fulfilling as a result and patients/the profession has benefitted as well. The SAS Collective #SASsix

Interesting point - there is no regulatory reason why SAS doctors cannot be education supervisors (of trainees even). Its about being trained for the role, not clinical seniority #SASSix The SAS Collective

A massive thank you to the huge numbers of colleagues β¦β¦Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trustβ© who shared their feedback in the #NHS Staff Survey! For the 2nd year in a row we have improved on all domains!! It has come through the commitment so many to make LGT a great place to work! #tobeexceptional
