The more I listen to Gass read The Tunnel, the more I think it was written to be read aloud.

just found these two absolute gems sitting in the dollar bargain bin next to all of the commercial fluff and I don’t know whether to laugh or cry

My politics these days: capitalism, sure, fine, whatever, but please, for the love of god, TAX THE F’ING RICH, THEY ARE HOARDING MONEY LIKE F’ING DRAGONS, use the money to fund massive public goods, like healthcare, childcare, education, free school lunches, social security, etc.

I love Penguin and I think that their publishing is a service to humanity and I also think that this series will go down as the worst designed collection ever.

Some fun finds scouring the used book stores today. The first edition Franny and Zooey cost $3. Too bad the dust jacket is damaged.

Paterson is my favorite Jarmusch.

While we’re talking about Penguin, I’ll add that I think their Great Ideas series will go down as one of the best designed book collections ever.

I decided to watch Fight Club for the first time in 26 years. Now having rewatched it, I regret my decision. Fight Club is boring.

Still writing, but in my free moments not suited to writing, I am enjoying a short story from this collection.
