In some new work (the first from the new lab!), we lay out a vision for a biological foundation model that unites DNA, RNA, and protein modalities and operates at molecular, systems, and genome levels of scale. Blog: arcinstitute.org/news/blog/evo Preprint: arcinstitute.org/manuscripts/Evo

My first work since joining Brian Hie's lab, with Rafael Rafailov @ NeurIPS, is ProteinDPO: a stability aligned inverse-folding model with (1) SOTA competitive ddG scoring, (2) generalization to absolute/thermal stability, even binding(!?), and (3) generation of stability enhanced proteins!🧵

Excited to see our work on Evo published - this was a super collaborative, fast-paced project with a great team Eric Nguyen, Michael Poli, Matt Durrant, Brian Kang, David Li, Brian Hie, Patrick Hsu! We used Evo to generate novel functional CRISPR-Cas and transposon systems!
