There isn't any part of the country now where rented accomodation is affordable for a single person working full time on minimum wage. The social.contract is broken. That is a dangerous place for everyone.

Cares about disabled people in regards to the benefit cuts but ignores every single disability campaign group asking him not to vote for assisted killing by the State.

Be under no illusion that the assisted killing bill in the last consequence of a neo- liberal ideology that values the 'wants' of privileged & safe individuals over the safety of the poorest & weakest & vulnerable.

"Another ÂŁ150 million will be split between the mayors of Manchester, Liverpool, the West Midlands, West Yorkshire, the North East and the West of England to support creative businesses in their regions." Fab! But where's the ÂŁÂŁÂŁ for the East Midlands?

A hot summer a divided country and Oasis as a backdrop reminding us of what has been taken. It won't be sad nostalgia but a burning anger rising from below. Summer 2025

Just been on .LBC talking to Mathew Wright about Labour's plans for 1 million apprenticeships on ÂŁ275mil I think this is more rhetoric we need a serious National Industrial policy. We have been an absolute failure since the 70s. Working class people's lives have diminished

I'm on at 7.33 on .LBC talking to Mathew Wright about Govs strategy for apprenticeships neither of us were hopeful - the deindustrialised communities need more than rhetoric Check out LBC on Global Player - globalplayer.com/live/lbc/uk/

All the panic about whether Starmer is backing Trump is a bit pointless - Starmer would have known about bombing Iran same time as the rest of us. Starmer & Lammy & the rest of Europe are inconsequential now. They would be better to focus on the dire domestic situation

Lisa Mckenzie (@redrumlisa) 's Twitter Profile Photo

How? What will these apprenticeships serve? Especially when we have no industrial strategy & great swathes of the country was smashed to bits by deindustrialisation. We already have useless apprenticeships for 'logistics' aka working for Amazon for 3 hours a week or when needed

Lisa Mckenzie (@redrumlisa) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Starmers big idea to get 1 million apprenticeships to train up people for jobs with ÂŁ230 million amounts to 2k an apprenticeship. Its utter bollocks

Watching Adam Curtis #shifty woman who works in a pottery factory 'sometimes I'm so bored I get angry' I remember that feeling working at Pretty Polly making tights. Can't help but feel nostalgia for a simpler world with rules I understood. Even if I didn't like them.

WATCH: Today we delivered a letter to Brighton & Hove City Council, signed by nearly 600 residents. It calls for an independent review into why FSM-eligible children face some of the worst outcomes in the country - in education, housing, health, youth services and jobs.

Downwardly mobile middle class are the worst at denying the violence of class. How do I say I have no belief in myself because I’m constantly told through belittling small behaviours I’m nothing.

Jonathan Reynolds also is out of touch - he thinks young lads in the deindustrialised communities who have had little education because our schools are so bad are going to work in 'the City' how many 'creatives' in the regions are earning a wage. Stop lying /gaslighting
