Very grateful to USIsraelBSF for supporting our project with Oded Regev where we plan to use massively parallel reporter assays and interpretable machine learning to understand how sequence determines the fate of neuronal mRNAs.
Excited that our NSF proposal with Shu-Bing Qian on deciphering RNA regulatory logic with interpretable machine learning got funded. We have positions for a postdoc, lab manager, and PhD students (both computational and experimental). If interested, please get in touch!
Our paper on using massively parallel reporter assays to dissect the targeting of specific mRNAs to neurites is now out in @NAR_Open. Andreas E. Moor Davide Eletto Minkyoung Lee University of Haifa D-BSSE, ETH Zurich academic.oup.com/nar/advance-ar…
Check out our preprint on using interpretable-by-design machine learning for discovery! We identify novel components of the RNA splicing logic and validate them in the lab. biorxiv.org/content/10.110… Susan E. Liao Mukund Sudarshan
Excited to share our new findings on how RNAs are positioned in nuclear speckles. Great work by Sneha Paul and Mauricio, et al, and wonderful collaboration with Oded Regev biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
My postdoc Sneha Sneha Paul is giving a platform talk on Monday afternoon. Please stop by if you are interested ~😊 #BPS2023
Our paper on interpretable-by-design machine learning just appeared in PNAS doi.org/10.1073/pnas.2… Susan E. Liao Mukund Sudarshan
Excited to share our new work learning functions of nuclear speckles in coordinating RNA splicing! Great team work with Profs. Oded Regev Oded Regev and Chuan He, led by Drs. Jinjun Wu and Yu Xiao. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Great being part of this project with Jingyi Fei and her lab!
🧵1/ How does RNA know where to go in the nucleus? In a preprint in collaboration with Jingyi Fei, we uncover the sequence logic that drives RNA localization to nuclear speckles—and its tight coupling to splicing. 🔗[doi.org/10.1101/2025.0…] #RNA #splicing
