Phosphorylation of ubiquitin shifts its conformational dynamics! Cool new story from Albert Albert Lau and student (now Dr.!) Remy Yovanno Remy Yovanno .

Join ProjectBridge at #BUGSS for our next workshop! Code a game based on your favorite sport, and teach a computer to play using machine learning! ⚽️💻🏀

A great way to kick off the new school year for Girls' Coding Club with ProjectBridge and Baltimore Underground Science Space (BUGSS). We trained a #MachineLearning model to play soccer! ⚽️

Sharing new preprint from our lab: bioRxiv Neuroscience. Led by Paul LaFosse, we show neurons in the awake🧠can filter out inputs: attenuation-by-suppression. Also: real neurons’ activation function share features w/ #ai systems (eg ChatGPT). #neuroscience Comments welcome! 1/15

Ana de la Cruz @anadlc13 from Wu lab Biophysics Dept@Johns Hopkins Med is presenting in BPS2024 meeting in Philly.

#BPS2024 continues— Dr. Brooke Britton is giving a fantastic talk on the activation mechanism for cell wall synthesis in bacteria. Great work with Zach Hensel Remy Yovanno and Albert Lau

Hi there, Lisbon 👋🏽 Next week, I’m presenting work from the lab in 2 #COSYNE2024 workshops with Tatiana Engel, Aldo Battista, Wayne Soo, Chethan Pandarinath Chris Versteeg & others to discuss exciting new findings. Want to get involved?👇🏽(1/2)

New preprint, on 'sequence filtering'. Led by Ciana Deveau, Z Zhou. We see this as a key step forw on how cortex works. All cortical areas have dense exc-exc recurrent connectivity. What do these connections do, esp in sensory ctx? Our data say: they do dynamics/time. 1/4

Beyond excited for my PhD work to be out in press! This is my first first-author primary research article. Thankful for the strong mentorship from Bin Wu Lab who got me through this challenging project and to Yang Liu, Inoue Lab at JHMI, and Leslie for their brilliant contributions!

Two talks from our lab this weekend at the AMS meeting in DC: I'll be talking about our findings on active filtering of neural sequences. Remy Yovanno will present early work on how that filtering happens in cortical networks (balanced state EI nets). #neuroscience #ai
