Blake Richards I agree with this, but they should have cited the Temporal Context Model (Howard & Kahana, 2002, and much following work). This is one of their key ideas, contrasting with the older idea of time-based drift due to Estes (1955).

Group leader position (W2; ~Assoc Prof) in cognitive & computational neurscience available in our Department MPI für Kognitions- & Neurowissenschaften. Independent funding, access to excellent infrastructure & experimental data and ample opportunities for collaborative projects. recruitingapp-5218.de.umantis.com/Vacancies/387/…?

New paper eLife - the journal with co-first author Matthias Nau! Hippocampal activity reflects timing behavior & the updating of task-specific yet generalizable sensorimotor representations in real time doi.org/10.7554/eLife.… 🧵 Joint-author thread below! w/ R.Kaplan DoellerLab Virginie van Wassenhove

New preprint out with DoellerLab and Roberto Bottini! "Mental search of concepts is supported by egocentric vector representations and restructured grid maps" biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

I’m so excited to finally see THINGS-data released! Working on this fMRI dataset was an awesome challenge for me and motivated me to learn a ton. So many thanks to Martin Hebart , Chris Baker , @lina_teichmann and everyone involved for bringing me on board! 1/n

Nice new work form Somatosensory Lab MPI für Kognitions- & Neurowissenschaften with @LiobaEnk, Carina Forster, Esra Al & Arno Villringer.

Our new preprint is live: We show that the entorhinal cortex uses a grid-like representation to encode an abstract value space during prospective decision making - work together with Mona Garvert @jacobbellmund Nico Schuck DoellerLab biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Excited to see this out - our new work on egocentric and allocentric neural representations in a conceptual task. Led by Simone Viganò, together with DoellerLab and Roberto Bottini

Our paper on an entorhinal grid-like representation of an abstract value space with Mona Garvert @jacobbellmund Nico Schuck DoellerLab is now out in Nature Communications! nature.com/articles/s4146…

New paper out with Rena Bayramova, DoellerLab, and Roberto Bottini on the link between spontaneous eye movements and the representational geometries of conceptual spaces during verbal fluency tasks (VFT) doi.org/10.1073/pnas.2…

One of my PhD projects is online! We show that category prototypes correspond to interpolated states in a cognitive map that guide cortical pattern completion during category-based decisions. w/ Mirko Thalmann, Helmholtz Institute for Human-Centered AI, DoellerLab, Stephanie Theves @stephanie-theves.bsky.social biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Our preprint is online! We show how the hippocampal-entorhinal cognitive maps could solve the general problem of representing and relating multiple alternative action plans. Work together with Simone Viganò Daniel Reznik Patrick Haggard DoellerLab biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Hugely excited that this work with Martin Hebart and Chris Baker is now out in Nature Human Behaviour !!! By moving from a category-focused to a behaviour-focused model, we identified behaviourally relevant object information throughout visual cortex. nature.com/articles/s4156…
