Tuesday Tidbit: Gov. Evers’ budget includes over $118.9 billion in spending—that is over a 20% increase. Irresponsible.

Fun Fact Friday: Legislative Republicans approved over $4.4 billion in comprehensive tax cuts last budget—Gov. Evers’ vetoed the vast majority of these tax cuts.

Tuesday Tidbit: Gov. Evers’ budget proposal caps the number of children that can participate in school choice programs in Wisconsin. Every child deserves educational freedom. In the “Year of the Kid” Gov. Evers doesn’t seem to care about providing kids with all the options.

Fun Fact Friday: Legislative Republicans have consistently supported school choice and we are proud to have increased school choice in the last biennial budget. It is vital that parents and students are able to access the full range of educational opportunities in Wisconsin.

Tuesday Tidbit: Gov. Evers’ budget proposal repeals critical FoodShare program protections including work requirements, drug testing and treatment. His repeal would open these programs to abuse—putting them at risk of not being available for those truly in need.

Fun Fact Friday: Legislative Republicans support accountability in our public benefit programs. We cannot allow WI workers to sit on the sidelines. We must continue robust oversight of entitlement programs-ensuring taxpayer dollars are used as temporary assistance-not a lifestyle

Tuesday Tidbit:Gov. Evers used his line-item veto to raise property taxes by billions of dollars over the next 400 years. The liberal Supreme Court upheld this action expanding his already powerful line-item veto. Gov. Evers and the Court don’t care about taxpayers. Disappointing

Tuesday Tidbit: Gov. Evers’ budget provides new benefits to undocumented individuals here in Wisconsin including: professional licensure, driver licenses and identification cards, and in-state tuition at UW Campuses & WI Tech. Colleges. These policies don’t belong in the budget.
