I'm pleased to announce that my bill, HB 399, was passed out of the Ways & Means Committee today! This legislation would alleviate financial burdens on living organ donors and incentivize employers to offer paid leave to donors, thus encouraging organ donations and saving lives.

Yesterday, the OH legislature passed the 2-year state capital budget. The record-setting $6.2B investment makes appropriations for colleges, schools, parks, community projects, etc. In Franklin County, we secured $100M for many projects like this pictured restoration initiative!

Yesterday, I was joined by my joint-sponsor, Rep. Adam Bird, to witness my bill, HB 47, get signed into law by Gov. DeWine. HB 47 requires AEDs in all Ohio schools and in certain sports and recreation facilities. I am proud of this legislation, which will save lives.

I toured the new James Karnes Correctional Center & Rapid Resource Center. This state of the art facility will triage arrestees and an assessment of their physical and mental needs will be made. This is a model correctional facility & I look forward to the completion of Phase 2!

On Friday, I had the honor to present a commendation to Kroger’s store leader and associates in Groveport. After a four month, $2M update the store had a reset and features new bakery displays, decor, and remodeled restrooms. It is a beautiful addition to Groveport & District 5!

This morning's moving ceremony in Groveport at Motts Military Museum honored 9/11 victims, fallen first responders, heroes who gave their all, & those who leave us every year from cancers caused by work on the debris pile. We remember their sacrifices & the survivors' resilience.

This summer, we've been collaborating with stakeholders to enhance school bus safety. Yesterday, I met with the Ohio Association for Pupil Transportation to tackle the statewide bus driver shortage, a critical issue impacting student safety and transport consistency. Thank you!
