Great new resource for anyone working on antibody CMC, developability, or discovery. New preprint out today from Ginkgo that benchmarks 246 therapeutic IgGs across 10 developability assays. The resulting dataset is ML-ready and publicly available. If you're thinking about early

GDPx3 features comprehensive morphological profiles for 46 compounds! What makes this dataset uniquely valuable? It provides critical dose-response data across three PRIMARY human cell types with two timepoints (24 hrs, 48 hrs), plus a widely used cell line. 🔬🦠 Aortic Smooth

Executive order out yesterday taking a firm stance against risky gain of function research and the development of biological weapons. If we want to ensure that other countries aren't developing biological weapons we can't just trust them -- we need to be monitoring for it.

My colleagues Joshua Moller & Porfirio Quintero Ginkgo Bioworks are presenting our poster on guided discrete diffusion for antibody developability tomorrow at PEGS Boston 🧵 (1/4)

Lood van Niekerk (@lood_ml) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We guide antibodies towards low hydrophobicity and polyreactivity using simple oracles trained on 250 antibodies from our latest preprint (biorxiv.org/content/10.110…) (2/4)

Lood van Niekerk (@lood_ml) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We successfully guide towards these properties while maintaining high naturalness (likelihood) scores under other models such as AbLang2. We've found SVDD (arxiv.org/abs/2408.08252…) to work better than other discrete diffusion guidance approaches. (3/4)

Excited to expand this further with bigger datasets! They're presenting at the following times: Thursday May 15 10:30-11:15AM 12:25-1:55PM Poster session C Poster hashtag #C044 Feel free to reach out to [email protected] if you want to know more! (4/4)

Great article from Vox on biological weapons and how to defend against them - with commentary from Matthew F. McKnight who leads biodefense work at Ginkgo Bioworks. We need to be proactive about this in USG so we aren’t defenseless. vox.com/future-perfect…
