To learn more about the story behind the paper, we caught up with first author Thomas Mullan and corresponding author Richard Poole UCL UCL Biosciences UCL Research Dept of Cell & Developmental Biology: journals.biologists.com/dev/article/15…

We’ve combined our two recent preprints on the killifish retina (biorxiv.org/content/10.110…) and IBEX (biorxiv.org/content/10.110…). We’re now studying retinal development and degeneration in killifish using this technique. Shown here is the peripheral retina with 9 antibodies.

mime-seq 2.0 now out The EMBO Journal! A method to sequence miRNAs from specific cells of mice without the need for cell sorting or Argonaute immunoprecipitation embopress.org/doi/full/10.10… A great collaboration with Stefan L Ameres and Meinrad Busslinger, led by Ariane Mandlbauer 🧵below

New WormBook.org chapter! With Nuria Flames Lab and Richard Poole we wrote Neurogenesis in C. elegans, now in Genetics: doi.org/10.1093/geneti… We discuss neuron development specifically, but do have a look if you think about acquisition of cell identity more generally
