Here’s a deeply concerning headline - nearly 50 new public sector staff a month.

The short answer is that glasshouses were ruled as temporary structures, enabling owners to make money growing on what was otherwise protected, agricultural land. The deal was that if/when the spans became redundant, the open fields would return (because we don’t have that many).

Interesting line for the PM to take. Most, I think, would rather see the monarchy fall than accept King Andrew.
