Spot on! Much like a general contractor walking a job site in order to gain a much deeper understanding of the tools, challenges and level of support required by those workers who are actually building the house :-)

Such great counsel! As leaders, and role models, students look to us, not because of a title or what we might be able to do for them...they look to us to see what they can/might become because of us!

It's a favorite question I ask students following a class, reading, article, lesson, book study: "So whats becoming more clear to you?" Or, "So, what do you make of it?" As you might guess I learn a ton by reflecting on their reflections:-)

Love this! Thinking of Coach Mark Few from Gonzaga Univ as he coaches the US Olympic team. You have to create not just a team, but a culture that 'everyone' wants to be a part of...players, parents, fans...do that and you have an incredible school, team, business, endeavor...

Spot-on Jon S Rennie 🇺🇸 To complicate matters further, someone who is actually doing the work 'already has the solution' we seek. The solutions to the problems we face are, more often than not, found where the actual work is being done.

Spot-on Jon S Rennie 🇺🇸 We have no prayer of leading those outside of us until we have fully embraced the servant within us.... We must become the servants we seek.

We are often misled to believe that there is safety behind a typical managerial facade we display, When in reality to be truly authentic, humble, vulnerable, caring and empathetic is to have genuine impact and influence.

Spot-on! Ken Williams Much like a financial budget, student data simply gives us a framework, a general trend, if you will. It is not a measure of one's passion, grit, dedication, talent and ability. Or how that talent and ability will ultimately be deployed.

"Lies are not a problem". Spot-on! Terry Grier They only become a problem when we lack the courage to call them out. We suffer today from a deep "courage deficit." I was born and raised on a dairy farm...as such, I don't need to be standing in BS to know when it is nearby.

Spot on, good Dr! IAmDrHussein We must take careful steps and hold powerful thoughts near for tomorrow. For we are today 'what we thought we would become' yesterday...

A fundamental truth of leadership is that we actually know very little of the real challenges, either internal or external, in the lives of our teammates. The exceptional leader makes it their highest daily priority, in every interaction, to close that gap. #knowtheirstory

You are most kind, but it is easy to support exceptional educators like you...making an indelible mark on the future of our children...
