Exciting things happen when scientists get together! A recent GEMS Science Team Mtg resulted in new experiments for the TEMPO Green Paper, including use of TEMPO formaldehyde and H2O, along with CO from other #satellites to study heat and drought stress of western forests.

Great write-up of Ailish Graham's recent paper which examined the impact of the 2019-20 megafire season. The #wildfires decimated large swathes of Australia caused 437,000 people to be exposed to unsafe levels of PM2.5

Liftoff! Our #TEMPO mission and its host satellite are on the way to space. The size of a dishwasher, TEMPO is powerful enough to observe air pollutants across North America down to a resolution of 4 square miles (10 square km).

The Changing-Atmosphere Infra-Red Tomography Explorer (CAIRT - cairt.eu) is 1 of 4 competing missions for ESA Earth Explorer 11. It will provide new & novel observations of mid-atmosphere composition and will be presented at the ESA Consultation Meeting in October.
