I was lucky to get an advance look at this volume from Jonathan White and Lucas Morel. It's a really great volume that will be an excellent tool for teaching the Civil War era.

Congratulations, Lucas Kelley!

I'm looking forward to talking the slavery, the Civil War, and emancipation tomorrow with Elliott Drago and the Jack Miller Center ahead of Juneteenth.

Thrilled to be kicking off my time this morning as the Suzanne and Caleb Loring Research Fellow Massachusetts Historical Society!

First time at the Boston Athenaeum, and it's hard to imagine a more beautiful place in which to do research. Grateful for the support of a Loring Fellowship to do so.
