Perhaps I should’ve been more clear! Peacock doesn’t have enough exclusive sports rights separate from NBC at this time to properly program a linear network. That doesn’t mean they couldn’t go out and buy enough content for Peacock to be able program a cable network as well. But

Yes, and if you combine play ins with a SEC non conf agreement (assuming they go to 9 games), then you have something to go to the TV guys now before the NFL opens their deals early (which they will). 😎

Every game on NBC is on Peacock. One game is on Peacock and not on NBC. That is the one game that would be on the new channel. x.com/greggstallings…

Does possibly open up the chance of a college "Red Zone" type service if these two are working together. Between the two of them they control a great deal of college football rights.

If you are a sports media aficionado read this. Might be the most spot on analysis of where we are right now that I have read in quite a long time.

Silver/owners are counting on about $10 billion+ in expansion franchise fees from Vegas and Seattle. Not likely any existing teams are moving there.

Fox is only going to be in on a ESPN CFB Red Zone if they get a piece. NFL will have a stake of RZ offshoots and Fox will want to be tied to NFL equity wise just as ESPN is. CBS and NBC as well. Be shocked if anything happens before 2027 at earliest. Messy deal… but not
