It's my first official day as Provost and Dean of the Faculty Barnard College. I am honored to work with our exceptional faculty to advance a culture of shared purpose and joyful inquiry, and to communicate Barnard's unique academic strengths.

I talked with Columbia Daily Spectator about expanding Barnard College courses in global languages and cultures, as well as highlighting our unique interdisciplinary courses on sustainability across the arts, humanities, social sciences, as well as STEM disciplines.

I am so sorry to learn of this very sad news about a friend and colleague from my time The Harvard Crimson. Sue cared about making journalism better, and she supported The Harvard Crimson’s ongoing efforts to make journalism more accessible. Sellers Hill

If you're passionate about languages and want to explore why they're essential to our lives and society, don't miss the talk on Oct. 30 with Rebecca Walkowitz (Rebecca L. Walkowitz), Provost and Dean of the Faculty, Claire Tow Professor of English at Barnard College.

Thank you for your leadership, Steve Weinstein. It was such a pleasure to meet so many families of our wonderful Barnard College students.

Congratulations, Shea! We are proud of you Barnard College!
