Here’s a fab new mural by Rob Lee on the side of the Forum Kitchen + Bar & True North Brew Co. to celebrate the brewery’s 30th anniversary! It was unveiled during the jubilee weekend at the beginning of the month and it’s absolutely brilliant 😍 #Sheffield #SheffieldStreetArt

On inspiration for his series, Rob Lee says this is “chromatic aberration, a phenomenon found in lenses, when they fail to focus light wavelengths correctly therefore refracting & dispersing colour incorrectly.” See the full background story here: bit.ly/3nur7Yk👀

📍‘Aberrate’ can be viewed from Arundel Street & Howard Street @sheffcitycentre. It’s also right next to one of Rob Lee’s most well-known #streetart murals he created for Now Then Magazine back in 2018.💙

Another day, another record for the North Atlantic. Everything is happening so fast, it's hard to get a sense of the enormity of these anomalies, let alone their consequences.

Sulfur emissions cooled our planet by about 0.5°C, on a global average. It cooled more where most of us live. 3.5 years ago we reduced sulfur emissions over the oceans by about 80%. Oceans heat up faster. Prepare for more warming, extreme weather and faster sea level rise.

For all the climate deniers and climate trolls out there, Stephen Barlow's analysis in this thread is spot on, start to finish, and is well worth a read before you go about being a total f&%king ignorant a&%hole for another day.

Don't be under any illusion that anyone has the slightest idea how this planet will respond to the most extreme of pressures exerted on it by the explosion of human GHGs. As far as is known, there's never been a warming event anything like this fast in Earth's 4.6 billion year

Wow! EEI is now at a record 1.36 Watts per square metre! “11 Hiroshimas of excess energy per second accumulating in Earth’s climate system over the past three years." Drawdown and reductions alone ain’t going to cut it I’m afraid. theconversation.com/global-average…
