National Parks are at breaking point. After a decade of budget cuts will the gov't save the #NationalParks that The Labour Party founded 75 years ago? It's more than money: the Parks need urgent reform with stronger powers for nature, climate & public interest theguardian.com/environment/20…

Our ranger teams and volunteers have been busy this year restoring and creating new dew ponds across the National Park. With more still to come, they are providing a haven for scores of flora and fauna including dragonflies, toads and birds. #SouthDowns #ReNature

Sound on. 🔊 We were excited to find a Night Heron flying around calling at night in audio recordings from two survey squares in Wiltshire in June 2024. This species is a recent colonist and local rarity, so it was fascinating to discover its presence in our survey area.

🦇 #BatsAndNewts aren’t stopping housebuilding. Developers can still build if they follow mitigation rules. 🚧 So what’s the real issue? 🤔 Maybe it’s time the govt looked at land banking & deregulated planning laws instead. 🎥 Robson Peisley breaks it down.
