BCC Customer Service Cllr Majid Mahmood Despite being reported by me well over a week ago ( wk/011334955) waste has still not been collected from Cearl Court, 67 Shirley Road, Acocks Green. Please get it cleared.

Over a week ago the scheme manager at Carrs Lane Homes on Teall Close, Station Road, Acocks Green flagged up the lack of bin collections for 5 weeks. I have a reference number (WMC282912), but its not been done. They have had to clear the side waste themselves once. Cllr Majid Mahmood

Great work, if anyone does have information please let Acocks Green Police know.

It was an honour to propose Birmingham's new Lord Mayor at today's Bham City Council AGM. Cllr Zafar Iqbal has now taken over from Cllr Ken Wood, who had a fantastic year as Brum's First Citizen.

This is very disappointing by Birmingham Labour Group. We need to have the best, experienced Councillors like Cllr Martin Brooks on key Committees, not to exclude them for petty political reasons.

Birmingham residents are being shamefully let down. Mainly by Birmingham Labour Group for causing this dispute to develop by their disastrous leadership of the Council, but also by West Midlands Police for failing to allow those who want to work and keep our streets clean, to do so.

Roger Harmer 🔸 Birmingham Labour Group West Midlands Police It should be obvious to West Midlands Police that allowing waste to build up on the streets of Birmingham will increase antisocial behaviour and breaches of the peace Prevention is part of their remit

Another busy litter pick at AG Recreation Ground with Deborah Harries and several of the fantastic volunteers who help look after Acocks Green Recreation Ground. It's heavily used at this time of year and needs regular picking.

There is a steady flow of visitors to the Bham City Council Mobile Household Waste Centre at Fox Hollies Leisure Centre car park this morning, but no queue . It will be there until 2.15pm this afternoon if you have bulky items, garden waste or general household waste.

With the Liberal Democrats foreign affairs team I have written to the Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary, urging them to take the vital step of formally recognising a state of Palestine. The letter has been signed by all 72 Liberal Democrats MPs.
