It can’t be compared to the Kumbh because unlike the Kumbh information on the stampede wasn’t hidden for a day and news channels have already started seeking accountability. Also, Karnataka Police isn’t filing FIRs against those calling it a stampede and not ‘stampede like’

Noida channels never report a stampede in a BJP ruled state. There is always a ‘stampede like’ situation which is covered up for a day. However there is always a stampede in an opposition ruled state where shrill anchors will screech for accountability.

It’s still not too late. Adityanath can still suspend Amitabh Yash and company for their absolute failure in maintaining order at the Kumbh that led to the stampede in Prayagraj. Accountability and not cover up is needed.

Bengaluru cops were the only authorities who flat out denied permission for the nonsensical victory parade. RCB and KSCA repeatedly sought permission and Karnataka government seemingly gave in ignoring their own cops. And now these same cops are suspended? DKS should also go then
