Insightful observations on the effects of going to university. Chimes with work on liberalising effects of education and mobility from other country contexts, right @ralphascott ? Have to look up how to cite a twitter thread now 🙄

The Bank’s problem, as I see it, is that “this core market is so broken we are being forced to intervene to prevent a fire sale” and “we will stop doing that on Friday” does not feel like a coherent and logical position.

New IpsosUK polling shows public instinctively in favour of public ownership of utilities. Short 🧵 1/ In principle 6 in 10 think utilities such as electric, gas, water and trains should be publicly owned. 4 in 10 think this should be in all circumstances!
