It was a pleasure meeting you&an incredible group of the young generation from 29 African countries, determined to transcend neo-liberalism and its underlying capitalist-imperialist system which has ravaged Africa for the last five centuries. Breathe new life into PanAfricanism.

The climate crisis is caused mainly by oppulent lifestyes of the wealthy of the world. It is not because of methane/CO2 emmissions from rice pddies or cattle of poor communities. Solutions therefore cannot be those that take away livelihoods in agriculture of poor communities.

I am incredibly proud of my PhD student Saima Ashipala UFS, who has submitted her thesis on a history of Rössing Uranium Mine in Namibia. She examines how a mine that became a symbol of colonial exploitation survived decolonisation virtually unchanged.
