As I've been considering holiday gifts, it occurs to me that there isn't one Red Sox player jersey I would pay money for except Raffi and chances this his last season, so why bother? Also, why pay for NESN this year?

I've often complained on this platform about terrible customer service, and one thing I've noted as this year has gone on, and the economic uncertainty has grown, is that customer service has gotten so much worse. If there's one place you shouldn't be cutting back, it's that.

I just signed up for ChatGPT and asked it a bunch of questions about Salesforce. It couldn't answer any of them. My job is safe for now.

After playing with ChatGPT, I think we should take a step back from the breathless hype. We just cleared peak crypto, so now we can hype this for a few months. It will have utility of course, as will crypto in some form, just don't expect it to change the world just yet.

In an effort to wean myself from Twitter for news, I've set up Inoreader with the press release feeds from Oracle, Microsoft, Google Cloud, AWS, Salesforce and Adobe. These feeds are so full rubbish, it's hard to notice when there is actual news mixed in.Any other ideas?

Bret Taylor and Marc Benioff were probably always going to regret the bunny ears pictures from Dreamforce this year, but now even more so.

This is great, except for the fact that the corpus of information that ChatGPT has access to only goes back to 2021. That matters because it's missing any updated articles the doctor could have referenced that might have shed more light on the condition and treatment.

Yes, it is. You can learn to ignore stuff. You can make an effort to be nice. You can have spirited but civil conversations.
