Shall I call this a “lagniappe”? Spotted this as I strolled along the brick walk beside The National WWII Museum in New Orleans. Tech Sgt Harris is one of the men who perished on October 24 1944 and is mentioned in my book, No Average Day. #wwiihistory #newrelease #bookstoread

It was sunny and 75 degrees and a Barnes & Noble entry full of family, friends, neighbors, and strangers who are now friends, like the proprietors of New Bern's Bellator Roasting Co pictured here. "Champagne," mini-me chocolates and books. Sold out. #newrelease #booksigningevent

Brightening my day with the GI Jive Radio show sponsored by the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force. Tell me your feet don't start tapping to a few bars of "Basin Street Blues." But wait, there's more, on Mondays there's "Mail Call" mightyeighth.org/become-a-membe… #WWII

Some say you can’t go home again, but today at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force it was like coming home. We had a full house for sharing the story of October 24, 1944, emphasizing the fallen from the Army Air Forces, of course! #WWII #history #authortalk

Delighted to be in the company of these local authors of American Military History as we prepare to celebrate America’s sesquicentennial and the military conflicts the country had to survive to 250 years. #wilmingtonnc #lowercapefear #militaryhistory #America250 #LocalAuthors
