I can’t help laughing at this. Every. Single. Year.

This is what happens when someone’s spiritual rebellion against the biblical truths of God’s absolute sovereignty blinds them to the distinction between the need to strive against the error and sin which God has decreed and “striving against God’s decrees” themselves. So sad.

I know I’m late to this party but I don’t know what disturbs me more: that this was published by Christianity Today or that it was written by Jeffrey P. Arroyo García, a faculty member of Gordon College which belongs to the ccconsortium.org and CCCU (Jn 20:25; cf. Lk 24:39-40).

Remember when, right after Jesus told us to pray to “Our Father,” He followed up with, “And don’t forget to pray to my mom 10 times for every time you pray to your Father using a string of beads?” Neither does He. Yet they’re still gaslighting us about what the Bible teaches.

Make it make sense.

What people see as caused by impersonal forces of nature is actually the creation’s response to God’s commands. “Natural laws” are manifestations of the supernatural act of God through Christ “sustaining all things by his powerful word” (Heb 1:3 NIV). Every moment is a miracle.
