For diversity of fellow experiences, having a robust group of mentors with strengths in different aspects of vascular medicine is important, so that trainees come out well rounded in their education. They can differentiate later once in practice. #VascMedJC

From where I trained in IM, no one knew who or what VM doctors did. It was by crossing paths with a local VM doc who showed me. Loved the field, couldn’t believe more people weren’t doing it. #VascMedJC

When I was married to Katy Perry, there wasn’t anything off-key with her, nor was she involved in anything nefarious. Our marriage didn’t work out for normal, human reasons. I have nothing but respect for her! (Plus, my daughters LOVE Katy Perry)
