Day 1 of our Yorkshire Sport Fndn Children's Capital of Culture Baton Relay - over 80 schools from across the borough will be taking part in the relay across 9 legs, finishing at our Festival of Sport in July. Good luck to the children and staff running 🏃🏻🏃🏽‍♀️🏅

Today we had the most amazing afternoon taking part in the children’s capital of culture relay.Greasbrough Primary quickly passed on the baton as we ran from Rockingham to Wingfield with a lap of the school perimeter. It was wonderful to be part of such a special event.

Rotherham’s Baton Relay = energy, teamwork and community 👏 I was kindly invited to run the last leg - 84 schools, 100+miles and 13,000(!) engaged children along the way. Great example of getting the next generation outdoors, building confidence and having fun! 🏃‍♂️ 👏
