"Nobody cares how much content knowledge you have, where your degree is from, or what awards you've won. If you can't connect with kids, you're never going to be an effective educator." - @PE4EveryKid #PhysEd gophersport.com/blog/building-… via Gopher

Physical education is a high risk activity. Accidents can and do happen. A quality curriculum and sound teaching practices will minimize the chance of a lawsuit. #PhysEd gophersport.com/blog/pe-liabil… via Robert Pangrazi Gopher

Keep all your students within eyesight and move on a regular basis so you're near all of them and you'll probably not have any issue with liability. - Robert Pangrazi gophersport.com/blog/pe-liabil… via Gopher

When working online with your students, don’t over do it. Keep it simple. This is a great time to teach lifetime activity (moving every day through self-initiative). A good way to ruin lifetime activity is to time it, measure it, and talk about intensity.

You can’t teach PE at home, but you can teach wellness, i.e., activity, health, and emotional health. Physical education is a group activity. Wellness is personal and self-enhancing.

We will have a variety of guests on The PE Huddle (gophersport.com/pe-huddle). Games and activities will not be our primary objective. Other platforms cover this. Our focus will be teacher concerns and the social-emotional side of teaching. Join us Thursdays at 2:00 PM CDT.
