Today we remember NYPD 61st Precinct Sergeant Louis R. Pioli who died on October 29, 2015, from illnesses caused by inhaling toxic materials while partaking in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

35 years ago today, Detective Louis Miller NYPD 70th Precinct was shot & killed in the line of duty while he was investigating a burglary. At the time of his death, Det. Miller was a 60 year old, 34 year veteran of the NYPD. He was survived by his wife & step-son. We NEVER FORGET.
