Kudos to Terry Cassidy & all involved at Birdwatch Meath & Trim Tidy Towns for constructing this fab nesting wall for Sand Martin. Ideally located close to Trim castle on the banks of the river Boyne the birds more or less moved in straight away. Massive congratulations!

I hear people tutting about how scruffy my front garden looks as they walk past in winter and spring… . Then this happens in the summer. Nectar magnet for insects everywhere. And it looks rather lovely too. Tidy isn’t for everyone or everything.

Spotted a Brown Hawker Dragonfly - hard to ID at a distance as similar to Norfolk Hawker but tan colouring on wings gives it away… but this post is more about loving ponds than camera work I assure you 😂

🚨Dolphins, dolphins everywhere.🐬 🎥 20 bottlenose dolphins were seen just one mile south of the Brighton Palace Pier on Wednesday by our friend Kurt Lander. 🌊As you will see, Kurt was treated to an ariel display by the pod, as they travelled west.👏
