I asked who published dark stories. Ghost Parachute answered yes. I am thrilled "Lovesick" found a home in my dream journal. Read this whole issue! Brett Pribble is a great editor and Brett J Barr is a fabulous artist. This issue is fantastic. ghostparachute.com/issue/march-20…

Do what Ghost Parachute tells you to do.

I don't like posting about rejections: we all get them and they sting. But I do want to praise the mags that reject well, like Raw Lit - SUBS CLOSED and Milk Candy Review (I'm sure there are others). They find something to praise so I feel oddly good about my writing even when they say no.

I recently spent two amazing months in Athens. I met so many cool people (including Delphine Gauthier-Georgakopoulos!) and wrote a lot of flash pieces, trying to capture fragments of this very special time. I so appreciate jhhwriter for putting one of them out in the world! gooseberry-pie.com/clean-monday/

Oh my. This lineup! I'm so honored to be included in this fabulous issue put together by Adam Van Winkle. If you're inclined, pour yourself something strong and delight in these stories. That's what I plan to do.

Recent news from work: compensation cuts and increased workload. I'm very proud of the students The Middlebury Campus for writing so clearly about the stupid decisions that undermine their education and faculty and staff morale. Admin: F. An acceptance from National Flash Fiction Day for a little dystopic piece of mine has made my day!! You know I'll be sharing it here! I can't wait to read the other stories they've picked.
