There’s a certain sector of Twitter that loves to hate on AirBnb because it’s not exactly like a hotel or whatever. But honestly, AirBnb is amazing. I’m absolutely happy to strip the beds and take out the trash before I leave in order to get private use of a space like this.

An older lady struck up a conversation with my 3yo on the bus. The woman shared various “did you know…” thoughts. 3yo listened respectfully and then offered: “did you know that some flowers have bilateral symmetry?” The older lady said nothing after that.

Effect handlers are great—until you realize your custom Ability is copying the whole call stack. 😬 Here's our compiler engineer, Dan, on how Unison recognizes affine handlers and optimizes them: dolio.unison-services.cloud/s/blog/posts/o…

When you think about it, it's pretty weird that you go to school to learn a thing and then afterwards everyone has to call you by a different name.

I love using a computer via a terminal that's fronted by an LLM. You can just say vague stuff like "find songs that fit this mood in my Apple Music library, convert them to mp3 and save them somewhere", and it totally works.
