I am particularly heartened to see the positive impact this program is having on the work life of family physician clinical faculty. Our clinical faculty contribute so much to medical education. The financial rewards are small (if any), so they must come in other ways.

We are so fortunate to have Nathan Cheechoo on the Queen's Health Sciences team. He brings a wealth of insight, experience and knowledge that makes us all better. So glad that he made it to ICAM2025 and to the ocean. (although I was surprised to hear it was his first time to the ocean!)

My role as Assistant Dean of the Region of Durham campus began 2 weeks before our inaugural class of 20 students attended orientation week. A huge thank you to many colleagues from Queen's Department of Family Medicine & Lakeridge Health along with community partners whose efforts got us here! 2/5

Inspiring leadership & collaboration helped build a path for a 1 of a kind program addressing the shortage of family physicians in Ontario. Our first set of clinical clerks start in the Fall of 2025. So fortunate to have recruited such engaged & energetic faculty as well. 3/5

Dr Frid was an incredible Pediatrician and teacher. She was Program Director as I wrapped up my residency. What an amazing legacy gift by Pam and her family! It has been an honour to share stories with her sister Bev over the last few months.

So my pondering of the day: do they just have a closet full of different sizes of Pope clothes, waiting for the moment?

Our 10 Queen's University Medical Students with us for "Community Week" immersed themselves in all our region has to offer with some great food, whitewater rafting, golf, sunset at the waterfront, and more, all on top of their various clinical experiences.

There is definitely a huge opportunity here for CTC to up its mascot game.
