It's a sad statement on modern politics that Senate Democrats feel that they can more easily sell a budget claiming to have no tax hikes but which increases the public debt $4.1T, instead of their real plan to increase taxes by around $3T and only increase debt by $0.5-6T.

Reminder: When Republicans controlled the government in 2017-18, Pelosi and Schumer facilitated debt limit increases both before and after enactment of debt-financed tax cuts. McConnell is wholly inconsistent here and I am being generous. So glad I don’t have to cover this.
