Dems have the power to stop the coming wave of defaults and absolute chaos. Student loans are not a niche issue. Student debt is the 2nd highest form of household debt in the country. PAUSE PAYMENTS.

49% of the class of '23 at Dartmouth, where I reach, went into finance or consulting. Even were the most ardent capitalist--I am really not that--this would be a crushing statistic. So much energy, education, & intellect hoovered up by one sector.

In the end restarting student loan payment was driven by Biden and he got what he wanted. There are many righteous criticisms to make of the GOP & SCOTUS & the courts, but this one is on Biden. People have a right to be angry and to address that anger correctly. 8/8

I hope today can simply be an example of the type of stress and whiplash student loan borrowers go through. It's frustrating, really, because there are nearly 50M folks making financial decisions off news like this. You probably saw these tweets today. Well, they're all wrong.
