This work led by Schuyler Moss shows how data from a Rydberg atom quantum computer provides value for a simulation problem of practical interest. Thanks to the Lukin group Harvard Physics for a wonderful collaboration Perimeter Institute University of Waterloo Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology arxiv.org/abs/2308.02647

I have been appointed an associate professor of computational physics at ETH Physics. I'll have PhD and postdoc positions, so get in touch if you are interested in quantum many-body physics, ML, condensed matter, or quantum info/computing

Can highly precise quantum sensors teach us completely new things about the universe? That’s one of the many questions Benjamin MacLellan, a PhD in Physics student, is asking as he charts an unmarked trail at Waterloo’s Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC). Learn more: bit.ly/3IMaqiU

Can large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT help advance quantum computing? Yes! In a paper released today, PI's Roger Melko and visiting fellow Juan Felipe Carrasquilla Álvarez describe how the same algorithmic structure used in LLMs might do just that! Full article: hubs.ly/Q02hdRgd0

Quantum computing on the fast track! Perimeter’s Roger Melko predicts a “massive acceleration” with the help of AI technology. Read more: hubs.ly/Q02hSr1k0 #QuantumComputing #AI #LLMs

We wrote a short review on neural quantum states 🤖 ⚛️ The goal is to give a concise overview of architectures and applications — we hope this will be particularly useful for people starting out in the field 🤓 check it out: arxiv.org/abs/2402.09402 Universität Regensburg Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology

Happy to see the first #APRIQuOt work published in Communications Physics link.springer.com/10.1038/s42005…

We’re organizing a school on "Modeling strongly correlated electrons: Numerics, analytics, and quantum simulations" in Munich this September — read more about it here physik.lmu.de/correlated-ele… Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology Universität Regensburg @QManyBody

hoping to see many of you at this upcoming machine learning 4 quantum matter workshop MPI-PKS Dresden in Dresden (Feb 24-28, '25): pks.mpg.de/mlqmat25 application *deadline* is _Nov 30_ !
