Mayor Adams, responds to Hochul's possible congestion pricing delayed start: "We have to make sure that it's not a dual burden on everyday New Yorkers. We have to make sure that is not going to impact our recovery." He then proceeded to crush hundreds of confiscated mopeds.

As Janno Lieber just mentioned, the ADA settlement agreement from 2022 has contingencies built in when funding drops below the expected level. See part B under "What Would the Proposed Settlement Agreement Do?" new.mta.info/accessibility/… and below 1/8

I think the story is just the MTA was finally going to upgrade this station with money from congestion pricing, but now it’s going to delay that work, because it’s going to spend the money on other more important stuff.

How to describe the heady stench wafting off the Gowanus Canal lately? Maybe a perfume nose can help. My first for Talk of the Town. newyorker.com/magazine/2024/…

Aiming to do the pop-up on Sat 9/28/24. Still scouting for a location in Manhattan. I’ll have vinyl, CDs (new & old) and other merch I honestly can’t wait to wear myself. When we meet during that pound and hug, I’d love to hear your favorite line and why it connected with you.

My column: The congestion pricing fiasco is an opportunity to put a price tag on the cynicism in politics, the same cynicism that lets Albany pols get away with treating the MTA like a jobs program while complaining about 'waste' and demanding 'audits' -- vitalcitynyc.org/articles/why-a…
