all of the fringe Eric Adams backers really need to grasp the fact that the guy running NYC government right now is deputy mayor Randy Mastro, a NIMBY who is most famous for leading the NJ lawsuit against congestion pricing & working for Rudy Giuliani

I'm reminded of the quote from this 2021 Bloomberg story about NYC transplants getting buyers remorse when fleeing for tax havens: “The main problem with moving to Florida is that you have to live in Florida” bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

still thinking about how New York spent billions building a nuclear power plant on Long Island but the NIMBYs (led by Mario Cuomo) never even let them turn it on and residents had to pay $6 billion as a result

that post is 100% fake but it’s funny how conservatives oppose the one thing that actually reduces traffic: congestion pricing

“Secret police” are your words, not mine. Seems like you’ve been giving them a lot of thought. Unlike NYPD officers, your agents don’t identify themselves, wear masks that cover their faces, and have no badges. And now they ignore Immigration Judges’ rulings, too. What law

every NIMBY Democrat should be primaried in 2026, and Connecticut (which has some of the most unaffordable rents in the country) is a great place to start

This housing will be available to people making $0 a year and will be built two blocks away from the subway. Zinerman stated that an environmental impact statement (EIS) was not conducted for an upcoming development in Bedford-Stuyvesant. However, an EIS for the site was done

Zinerman just published a letter about “defending the neighborhood” from an 100% affordable housing project being built on a parking lot right next to the subway Chi is right: it’s time to primary every NIMBY

This is the city owned site where my State Assemblymember is protesting against 100% affordable housing. Looking forward to June 2026 when I can cast a vote against her and encourage others to do the same.

Los Angeles upzoned one (1) single family neighborhood next to a transit stop. The homeowners sold their houses at huge profits and now 600 new homes are being built. With any luck, we will repeat this win-win-win hundreds of times across the city and state after SB 79 passes.

an upper-middle class western European can easily buy an A/C. an upper-middle class American (outside of NYC/DC) cannot easily buy a functioning mass transit network or walkable cities

sam (@sam_d_1995) 's Twitter Profile Photo

the fact that in most of America you need to buy a car (+parking, insurance, maintenance, gas, etc) to live your life because walking, biking, and transit infrastructure is so bad

last night, I saw a Porsche parked illegally, blocking the entire sidewalk. I looked up the license plate and the driver racked up 108 tickets in 3 years, including 15 school zone speeding violations in the past 10 months. why do we allow these psychopaths on the road?
