In 2019, Asthma + Lung UK published the Asthma Still Kills report, showing that non-T2 related airway diseases lagged far behind in terms of available treatments and care. Ā Iām thrilled to be with the faculty again at #ICAN 2025 to drive international collaboration) in this area

And great to see Asthma + Lung UK Research - funded work showing the impact of shift work on asthma from Durrington Lab using Our Future Health data. #ICAN25

Great advice for all early career researchers from the invitee-only ICAN meeting pre-American Thoracic Society (ATS) conference.

David Morris MD from UCSF is predicting the death of science & innovation in the US as PhD progs are cut & NIH £ decimated. Also an exodus of scientists to EU which the UK will benefit from. I hope Peter Kyle understands the UK respiratory innovation growth potential. #RIS2025

I really enjoyed James D Chalmers superlative talk heralding a ānew era for bronchiectasisā as a chronic inflammatory disease which opens the door for disease-modifying treatments. Gives hope to people with this disease. Thanks for acknowledging Asthma + Lung UK Research funding James.

A great reminder for those (like me!) who are getting excited for Glastonbury Festival in a few weeks. Don't let your lung condition ruin the fun. Remember to pack your inhalers/antihistamines/steroid nasal sprays/any other medicines you need for the festival and to take them regularly
