Good to see more people appreciating that the discontinuation studies falsely inflate the apparent relapse prevention properties of psychiatric drugs by withdrawal confounds - troubling to contemplate when they are the basis for most evidence for psych drugs.

Wonderful for me and Sandra Jayacodi to be so valued by the BMJ for reviewing abstracts for the Quality Forum that we were invited to attend. We’re learning so much but I think our PPI perspective is also adding value to #Quality2022 and #qualitylife2022

Has anyone been told by their doctor that their depression was caused by a chemical imbalance and that an antidepressant would fix it? Please like and retweet if so. If you put what country you are in and the year you were told that would be a bonus.

Small victory: a patient who contacted me because their GP told them that they would not prescribe liquid to come off their antidepressant because they could just stop, changed their mind when shown the new NICE guidance. Happy patient. Result.
